Last week, I wrote a post “12 Things You Need To Do Before Your Kids Start School”. If you missed it, be sure to read it here. Many of you will be homeschooling your kids this year or they will be doing online learning from home. Since these will be new circumstances for so many, I put together a Homeschool Shopping List. If you can think of anything else to add, be sure to leave a comment on my Instagram post.
Printer (I suggest one that can print, scan and copy) This one also works with Alexa
Laptop/Computer/Tablet- *If you are shopping for an Apple product, be sure to call and ask about their homeschool discounts.
Laminator (not a necessity but they are very helpful. I have had the older version of this one for years with no problems.)
Pencils and erasers (I prefer white erasers because they don’t discolor your paper)
Red pens for corrections/grading
Highlighters (I prefer these smearproof ones)
Sharpies
Crayons (depending on your child’s age)
Colored pencils
Glue sticks
Binders
Dividers for binder
Notecards
Folders
Sticky notes
Scissors
Stapler, ruler and staple remover
Paperclips
Lesson planner (if you will be homeschooling your child) You can find printable versions on Etsy. I also like this printable bundle
This looks like another good one if you don’t want to print your own. It has multiple planning sections.
Student planner
Small whiteboards (There are tons of options on Amazon. I like the ones that come with a marker and eraser like this one)
If you have multiple kids, you can get them in sets like this also
Dry erase markers and eraser
Tape
3 Hole punch
Notebook and printer paper
Spiral notebooks or composition books
Crates, baskets or bins (these can be used to store each child’s supplies, sort materials by subjects)
Kleenex and hand sanitizer
*If you have younger kids that you will be homeschooling or kiddos that need to be entertained while your older children are learning, the following may come in handy:
Books
Puzzles
Coloring book and crayons
Play-doh
Stickers
Educational games downloaded on a kid-friendly device
