Mother’s Day is approaching and unfortunately, you may be celebrating differently this year due to social distancing. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t still celebrate the fabulous moms in your life, even if you aren’t celebrating together. I wanted to share a quarantine friendly gift guide in case you need some inspiration.
Lucky for us, there are plenty of non-traditional ways to give this year. Consider gifting a box subscription like Fab Fit Fun. Another beauty box subscription is Birch Box.
I always enjoy receiving flowers and Grace Rose Farm has some beautiful arrangements this year. Their Mother’s Day bouquets are so pretty!
You could also show your love and appreciation by decorating their front door, porch, or yard. Maybe leave a sweet note, drop off a picnic lunch, homemade baked goods, or a bottle of bubbly to celebrate.
I also love this recipe plate. Sentimental gifts like this are the best because every time they use it, they will think of you.
If you need a gift for someone who loves baking, this apron would be handy. You just lift the apron front up to see baking conversions and measurements.
Another idea is gifting a basket of your favorite things. Wrap up some of your favorite items with a note about each product.
This blanket is my favorite ever. We have several and we are always fighting over them! They are a splurge BUT this one is on sale and it’s a great price with almost half off.
If they have not already caved and purchased a DIY nail kit, now is a great time! This UV lamp works for gel nails and so does this one. My gel nail polish kit is sold out, (many have been lately.) But I found this one and this one is in stock as of right now. This foot file would come in handy right now as well. I have one and they work great!
Since everyone is hanging around the house now, what about a super comfy pair of slippers, a cozy loungewear set or a new pair of pajamas.
I recently started using a gua sha tool after reading a lot about it. I have this set. Gua sha facial massage can reduce puffiness, tension, headaches and help aid in lymphatic drainage. I grind my teeth at night and using this has helped with my facial tension from grinding.
I personally don’t think you can ever go wrong with jewelry. This mama necklace from Anthropology is perfect for the occasion. This one is cute too. And this would be a great gift with each family member’s initial on it. These Kendra Scott earrings are pretty and over 60% off. I love the ivory pair!
You can also think practical and there will never be a more practical time for gifting a phone sanitizer. This one here works for numerous phone sizes. For another practical idea, I’ve been using this cell phone stand a ton lately. I use it to watch videos on my phone while cooking, and it’s nice to have for facetime calls or zoom meetings.
I’ve been trying to start some new habits lately with the extra time at home and this pad is a cute way to track those.
Have they recently started a new hobby? What about a gift card or supplies for their new pastime.
I think a really cool sentimental gift is a watercolor house painting. I have one of our old house and current and love them! Etsy has a ton of artists who make them, but here is one I saw recently. This is where I got mine from years ago.
I also think something they can use to pamper themselves at home would be nice. A new perfume (I have worn this one for years after smelling it on a friend) or there’s this one that’s received a ton of hype from beauty bloggers. You could gift a pretty container of bubble bath or even a yummy smelling candle to burn at home. A few of my favorite candles are this Tyler’s candle, this one and this one (it’s the one made for the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans and I just love it!)
These earrings are in my cart. They have awesome reviews (over 5,000) and come in three colors.
For the fitness mom, these weights would make a fun gift but warning, they cannot keep them in stock. If you can find them, grab a pair because they sell out daily.
I also love the idea of gifting something they will use often but maybe a fancier version than they would normally use. Like this luxury hand soap and a pretty hand towel or pretty new coffee mug like this or this.
However you end up celebrating Mother’s day, I hope you enjoy. To the moms out there, depending on what phase of mothering you’re currently in, your days may be long and exhausting….but don’t forget, the years are short. Mine are now 16 and 13 in what seemed like a blink of the eye. There are so many seasons to motherhood friends and my wish for you is that whatever season you’re in, you allow yourself some grace (because we don’t always get it right and that’s OK.) Happy Mother’s Day!
