Halloween is this week! If your family celebrates Halloween, or you’ll be entertaining a Halloween crowd this year, I have some super simple ideas to share! I don’t go over the top for Halloween, but I do like to do a few things because my tween still enjoys it. If you’re like me and carving pumpkins is not your fave, be sure to check out my Halloween highlights tab on Instagram. There are some super cute non-carved pumpkin ideas saved there.
Let’s talk about Halloween food. There are tons and tons of ideas on Pinterest BUT some of them require way too much time. I want something that’s easy, festive and doesn’t require a ton of ingredients. You can check out some super easy snack ideas in my post here.
I also LOVE seeing all the Halloween inspired charcuterie boards everywhere. You could do all Halloween themed foods; pick a color scheme like the orange board below; or make a regular charcuterie board and just tuck some spooky Halloween items among the food.
I plan on doing something similar to this one below but will be using a smaller skeleton.
For Halloween drinks, I rounded up some great ideas that are super simple, because remember I am all about keeping things easy!
These Bloody Shirley temples would be so simple to make. Just fill a glass with Sprite or 7 up and then fill syringes with Grenadine. You could easily make this an adult drink by adding vodka.
I think these blood bags for drinks are totally creepy, but I guess that’s what you want for Halloween right? You can order these from Amazon here. You could use any red beverages inside (wine, juices, or other drinks with red food color) but here’s a non-alcoholic blood bag recipe from Finding Zest.
This spooky juice is a really easy adult beverage that can be prepped quickly.
And if none of these are your jam, you could make your go-to drink or your own signature cocktail and add floating eyeballs, gummy worms, gummy teeth or ice cubes with creepy things frozen inside. If you’ll be serving up a punch, try floating plastic bats, spiders, or rats inside the bowl.
One thing I am for sure loving this year are the 3D bats for walls! They are SO easy to hang, inexpensive and make a big impact. I love ours and found them here on Amazon. We used a glue dot dispenser to hang them, but they come with adhesive stickers. My daughter actually decorated our house this year for Halloween and she is the one who hung all of our bats 🙂
Something else we threw together was the “bone soup” on the cooktop. We just dumped a bag of plastic skeleton parts in and called it done!
Hope your Halloween is Spooktacular!
