We love a good binge-worthy show around here. Most of our faves are on Netflix or Amazon Video. In all actuality, we don’t really ever watch live tv. With crazy schedules, it’s so much easier to watch something we stream or have recorded so we can skip commercials. I hate commercials. Every time I watch live tv, I am reminded why I don’t like watching live tv…… THE commercials. Today I am sharing some of our favorite binge-worthy shows old and new. I am not going to bore you with my mediocre synopsis of each one, there’s Google for that. I also am mixing some family-friendly shows (my kids are teens and tweens) with non family-friendly so be sure you check first! I use Common Sense Media to see what’s appropriate for kids. Just type in the name of any show and you’ll get all sorts of info. If I have missed anything you love, be sure and let me know. I am always adding to my list of stuff to watch.
Breaking Bad- We actually just rewatched this again recently. I may have enjoyed even more the second time.
The Sinner- We enjoyed season 1 and just finished up season 2.
Suits- Oh how I love Harvey Spector.
Reign- We somehow started watching this thinking it was another show but ended up liking it.
The Killing- Disturbing but a good one.
The Fall- Another psychological thriller that’s worth watching if you like that sort of thing. Stars Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dorman from Fifty Shades.
Bloodline- I’m planning on going back and watching this one again too.
Sons of Anarchy- Never thought I would like this show but I did.
Ozark- We were late to the game on this one but we both liked it.
Marcella– British detective series
Broadchurch– Another psychological thriller…..hmmn, I am seeing a pattern here.
Narcos– My hubby started watching this one and got me to join him. I would not have watched this on my own but it was good.
True Detective Season 1– We enjoyed this season more than the others.
Big Little Lies– Liked the book and liked the TV series which is rare for me. Such a good cast!
Bosch– Looking forward to getting caught up with the new season.
The Americans- We were late to this party also but we enjoyed this series and I love shows that have multiple seasons.
Billions- HBO show with Damien Lewis
Jane the Virgin– Give it a few episodes and you’ll be hooked. It’s light, funny and easy.
Girlfriends Guide to Divorce– Definitely a series geared for women and has that Sex in the City vibe.
Gracie and Frankie– This show cracks me up. A good show to watch if you aren’t in the mood for something heavy.
Game of Thrones- Again, we were super late to this party. My hubby actually started this one without me and started it over so I could get caught up. It’s definitely NOT for children and is raunchy and filled with gore but there are so many storylines, it’s always entertaining.
Schitt’s Creek– I love so many things about this show. The cast is awesome, David and Moira’s outfits are a hoot, and it’s just so funny.
Ray Donovan- with Liev Schreiber as a Hollywood “fixer”
Yellowstone- Drama series about ranchers and stars Kevin Costner, need I say more?
Younger- Fun show. Good chic flick… men probably won’t dig this one very much.
Parenthood- I loved this series. Depending on your kids ages, this is a good family show.
Grey’s Anatomy- Recently went back and watched this again and forgot how much I used to love this show.
Gilmore Girls- This is another one I went back and watched again, this time with my daughter and loved it just as much.
You- Creepy series about social media and stalking.
I Love You, Now Die– This documentary shocked me. How could anyone do this?!?!
This Is Us- This show surprised me. When it first started premiering, I wasn’t sure about it…but loved it.
White Collar– This is another good one that families can watch together.
Friends- Oldie but goodie. Had to include this one.
GLOW- I honestly thought this show about women wrestling sounded ridiculous and it started a bit slow, but I like it.
Scandal- Revolves around the life and work of Olivia Pope, the “fixer”. And it has Scott Foley in it, so that’s always a plus 😉
Homeland- Starring Claire Danes as a CIA agent.
Blacklist– Series about a wanted fugitive working with the FBI.
Gossip Girl– I cannot wait for the reboot! Hope I like it as much as I liked the original. xoxo
